January 29th
My last day in Buenos Aires… what a mix of emotions. It’s hard to believe this trip has come to an end, but I’m so grateful for all the amazing times I’ve shared and the new memories I’ve made with people I love. Spending this time with Nai has been so special, and it’s really strengthened our bond. I know even though I’m leaving, we’ll stay close—and definitely plan to see each other again soon.
So, on my last day, we had to do all our usual sacred activities. We ate some good food, spent hours sipping maté, laughing, joking, and taking some Polaroid photos to remember the day. Just like the first day I arrived, we walked to our favorite coffee shop, Bulevar, for our favorite orange and carrot juices. Both of us treading carefully around the subject of goodbyes, trying not to let the tears start flowing too early.
When it finally came time to say goodbye later that evening, we exchanged letters, shared one last big hug, and of course, gave Ruko one final cuddle. See you soon, Nai. See you soon, Argentina. I’ll miss you, but I have a feeling it won’t be long before I’m back.
