January 27th

One of my last days in Buenos Aires, and Nai and I finally made good on a plan we’d been talking about since October—visiting MALBA (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires). It was a thunderstormy morning, but by the time we left in the early afternoon, the rain had slowed, making it the perfect kind of day for a museum trip. We roamed through the museum, soaking in Frida Kahlo and Fernando Botero’s iconic works, and came across some really cool displays from artists we hadn’t heard of before. One modern exhibit by a Chinese artist, exploring the relationship between humans and technology, really stuck with me. Nai and I reflected on how our museum day felt similar to the time we visited the Met in New York together six years ago – here’s to many more museum trips together in the future!  After exploring all of the exhibits, we stopped at the museum café on a cozy outdoor terrace for coffee and tea. We ended up chatting for a longggg time about everything and nothing, which is totally on brand for us. By the time we left, we were feeling fulfilled with our creative adventure and glad we finally checked this off our list.
