Nai is back in town, and we kicked things off with a Sister Saturday! Our afternoon adventure took us to San Telmo, starting at the main market—a place we hadn’t visited in a while. After wandering through the fruit and vegetable stands overflowing with produce, we purchased a handful of ripe cherries before heading out the door and stopping at Casa Telma for a quick refreshment. I went for a passionfruit lemonade while Nai ordered a chai and a chocolate loaf cake—which I happily helped her in eating.
We continued to explore, eventually stumbling into a quiet little corridor filled with antique vendors. Away from the busy main shops, it felt like a hidden gem. Nai discovered a vintage ballerina painting—perfectly fitting her style and personality, especially since she’s recently gotten into ballet. While the shopkeeper climbed up to retrieve the painting from the crowded walls of his tiny two-story space, we struck up a conversation. He told us how they rotate the items on display every couple of weeks—a lot of work for such a tightly packed shop! He was so friendly, and it was great to chat with him. Until next time, Eduardo!
