December 7th

Back to my usual Buenos Aires Saturday groove: a morning walk through the park and a catch-up call with my Mom. On the way home, I stopped by our go-to bakery for some sourdough and a monster of a cookie sandwich. Saturday snacks sorted. After showering and chilling for a bit, I headed back out for a little work session at a café.

Punto in San Telmo was my pick for the day—a café with quirky espresso drinks and plenty of charm. I went for their espresso tonic, a mix of tonic water, orange juice, and a shot of espresso. Bright, refreshing, and just enough of a kick to get me in the zone. The sunny, breezy weather made it a no-brainer to grab a table outside. I settled into a sweet spot—half shade, half sun—enjoying the fresh air and people-watching as I chipped away at my to-do list.

By late afternoon, Nai and I regrouped and headed to Parque Lezama to wander through the feria. The weekend crowd was in full swing, with sidewalks packed with vendors selling… everything. Old clothes tossed on blankets, random trinkets, even bags of cereal. One woman overheard us chatting about the grocery shopping we needed to do and tried to sell us some noodles straight from her stash. This market is a hodgepodge in the best way—unpredictable, a little weird, and always worth a lap.
